Mount Ventoux Weekend.
7th June to the 10th June 2024
Come and enjoy a long weekend in France riding around this iconic cycling mountain.
Based in Sault at the foot of the ‘bald’ mountain, we will focus our efforts around 2 big rides: up Ventoux (once, twice or 3 times, depending on the individual) and around Ventoux including Les Gorges de la Nesque.

2024 Le Grand Depart Tour de France
26th of June 2024 to the 1st of July 2024
Come with us to enjoy the first Grand Depart of the TDF in Italy.

In our package you will have everything covered. We fly to Pisa and the next day enjoy Tuscan countryside with a 100km ride to Florence. A further ride on the Friday near Florence and evening aperitif whilst watching the Tour de France team presentations. Saturday we set off early to follow stage 1 before the peloton but it wont be long before we let them past. We spend the night in Cesenatico and take in the the Marco Pantani museum. On Sunday we follow stage 2 as far as Imola but then leave the route to return to Faenza. The last day takes we cycle in the Apennines around Faenza before our return flight to the UK

Granfondo Yunnan, China
30 October - 10 November 2024
A 6-stage cycling event though the Yunnan province in China, with a stopover in Shanghai on the way there. The event starts with an Individual Time Trial followed by 5 stages with a total distance of 600km over the week (shorter options are available). This is a bit like the London Marathon: you will have elite riders consisting of (lower level) pro teams down to enthusiastic amateur “fun runner” type club cyclists so there really is something for all. It will be hilly and top elevation will be higher than anything in the Alps (3,300m in 2018). SaddleDrunk has been attending this event since its inception in 2015

Gravel in Spain
22 November - 26 November 2024
Gravel riding in Serra de Mariola National Park in Eastern Spain, inland from Valencia. Staying off-the-beaten track in newly renovated Secreta Mariola provided by English speaking hosts. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast with food grown on the premises or bought from local providers. Single/Shared accommodation, sauna, pool (might be a bit chilly!)

Based in Ravenna we will spend 4 days admiring various Unesco Heritage locations, from nature to historic buildings. Traditions and passion of the locals.
